On March 1, 2024, twenty four undergraduate students will arrive at American University for a weekend of presentations, conversation, and opportunities to get to know each other. Each of them will present a paper and participate in round table discussions over the course of the weekend

Those twenty four students represent fifteen different institutions: American University, Universidad Panamericana, Ashland University, Austin Community College, Dharma Realm Buddhist University, Concordia University Irvine, Vancouver Island University, Huron University Canada, St. Vincent, Mercer, Rhodes College, Pepperdine University, Assumption University, Villanova, and St John’s College.

Their papers explore a wide range of topics and texts, including: Hegel, Frankenstein, the Tower of Bable, Kurt Vonnegut, Prometheus Bound, and Lankavatara Sutra, to name a few.

This is one of the most enjoyable and important events ACTC sponsors each year, and we are deeply grateful for the hard work and support of our partners at American University, Thomas Merrill and Sunyata Courie.
