centers interested in the liberal arts, ACTC advances learning about the liberal arts and the development of teaching

Association for Integrative Studies Association of General and Liberal Studies The Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Association of Literary Scholars and Critics Clemente Course in the Humanities Council for the Administration of General and Liberal Studies
The Council was formed to provide support for the increasing number of college and university administrators that have responsibility for institutional general/liberal education programs. The Council grew out of group meetings of interested general education administrators during the annual meetings of other national higher education organizations including the Association for American Colleges and Universities, The American Association for Higher Education and the Association for General and Liberal Studies. The Great Books Foundation is an independent, nonprofit educational organization with a mission to help people think and share ideas. Towards this end, the Foundation offers workshops in Shared Inquiry discussion and publishes collections of classic and modern texts for both children and adults. The Great Books Foundation was established in 1947 to promote liberal education for the general public. Humanistic Texts

The website states, "From the writings of [our] authors, Humanistic Texts shows how people around the world gradually develop an understanding of what it is to be human. A new feature of the website allows anybody (scholars, teachers, or members of the public) to create their own annotated reading lists of our online material and to post them on the OLL website for them and others to use.
