We believe that in promoting networking among Associations and centers interested in the liberal arts, ACTC advances learning about the liberal arts and the development of teaching in liberal arts, core text institutions throughout the world. Alliance for Liberal Learning
The Alliance for Liberal Learning promotes and supports conversations about great works and ideas. They believe in the enduring value of lifelong liberal learning, which prepares us to live freely and well.

Arts of Liberty Project
The Arts of Liberty Project is an online, interdisciplinary resource for teachers and students of the liberal arts and liberal education. In its final form, the site will include lesson plans for entire courses on each of the classical liberal arts (the trivium: grammar, logic, and rhetoric; and the quadrivium: arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy) as well as teaching resources on great books in mathematics, natural science, literature, history, politics, philosophy, and theology.

Association for Interdisciplinary Studies
For 35 years, The Association for Interdisciplinary Studies has offered scholars and teachers a collegial and nurturing environment at conferences and through numerous publications and a resource rich website.

Association of General and Liberal Studies
AGLS serves colleges and universities by fostering strong General Education programs. General Education is that part of the curriculum required of all students and dedicated specifically to liberal learning - the development of knowledge, skills, values, and habits of mind characteristic of an educated person. The members of AGLS comprise a community intent upon improving liberal learning by advocating the centrality of general education and supporting its continuous improvement.

The Association of Graduate Liberal Studies
The Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs is the professional organization of academic programs providing graduate interdisciplinary education in the liberal arts and sciences for working adults. The Association provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among the administrators of programs granting degrees such as Master of Liberal Arts, Master of Liberal Studies and Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, among others, and to programs with related curricula and goals. The AGLSP promotes the core concepts and goals of Graduate Liberal Studies, fosters high standards in GLS programs, provides guidance for institutions considering initiating and improving such programs, and promotes public awareness of the programs.

Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers
The Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers (ALSCW) seeks to promote excellence in literary criticism and scholarship, and works to ensure that literature thrives in both scholarly and creative environments. They encourage the reading and writing of literature, criticism, and scholarship, as well as wide-ranging discussions among those committed to the reading and study of literary works.

The Clemente Course in the Humanities
Clemente provides free, accredited college courses in the humanities to those marginalized by economic hardship and adverse circumstances. Using the Socratic method, the Clemente Course provides a rigorous education in literature, philosophy, American history, art history, and critical thinking and writing.  The experience of Clemente students around the world has demonstrated that through the dialectics of learning, in a caring and respectful classroom, participants develop crucial tools to set in motion personal and societal change, and are empowered to participate more fully in civic life.

Council for the Administration of General and Liberal Studies
The Council was formed to provide support for the increasing number of college and university administrators that have responsibility for institutional general/liberal education programs. The Council grew out of group meetings of interested general education administrators during the annual meetings of other national higher education organizations including the Association for American Colleges and Universities, The American Association for Higher Education and the Association for General and Liberal Studies.

Great Books Foundation
The Great Books Foundation is an independent, nonprofit educational organization with a mission to help people think and share ideas. Towards this end, the Foundation offers workshops in Shared Inquiry discussion and publishes collections of classic and modern texts for both children and adults. The Great Books Foundation was established in 1947 to promote liberal education for the general public.

Great Questions
The Great Questions Seminars are a series of four 8-week seminars on Great Books meant to introduce Austin Community College students to the great questions of humankind. The Great Questions Seminars invite first-year ACC students to engage with core texts and challenging questions. 

Humanistic Texts
A website with a wide selection of humanistic texts from many cultures. The website states, "From the writings of authors, Humanistic Texts shows how people around the world gradually develop an understanding of what it is to be human. Multicultural extracts portray the wit, wisdom, and poetry of individuals as they reflect on ethics, philosophy, knowledge, and human relationships."

Internet Sacred Text Archive
A site with thousands of complete texts from the world’s major religions, ancient classical works, and Native American cultures. The site indicates that it is supported through buying its cd/dvd copies of what it offers on site.

Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies
An International Journal of Interdisciplinary and Interfaith Dialogue, a new model of higher education for the 21st century, a major resource for teaching, learning, and research inspired by the classical paideia of educating the whole person, benefitting students and faculty in all fields.

Liberty Fund, Online Library of Liberty
The Liberty Fund website is a useful resource for great books/texts. A new feature of the website allows anybody (scholars, teachers, or members of the public) to create their own annotated reading lists of online material and to post them on the OLL website for them and others to use.

The National Association of Scholars
NAS is a network of scholars and citizens united by a commitment to academic freedom, disinterested scholarship, and excellence in American higher education. Membership in NAS is open to all who share a commitment to these broad principles. They publish a journal and have state and regional affiliates.

The National Council of Instructional Administrators
The National Council of Instructional Administrators (NCIA) is an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), dedicated to serving the needs of professionals involved in instructional administration in the community college.  NCIA is housed at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and works in cooperation with the community college leadership program at UNL.  NCIA is committed to promoting professional development and enhancing the performance of instructional administrators and serving as the national voice for the involvement of community college instructional administrators in policy planning and decision making.

National Collegiate Honors Council
The National Collegiate Honors Council's mission is to support and enhance the community of educational institutions, professionals, and students who participate in collegiate honors education around the world.

National Endowment for the Humanities
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is an independent federal agency created in 1965. It is one of the largest funders of humanities programs in the United States.

U.S. Department of Education Fund for Improvement of Postsecondary Education
The Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) database is a publicly searchable database with information about current and past FIPSE competitive grant projects. A part of the Office of Postsecondary Education, U.S. Department of Education, FIPSE supports innovative and effective improvements in postsecondary education under several grant programs.

U.S. Department of Education International Research and Studies Program
This program supports surveys, studies, and development of instructional materials to improve and strengthen instruction in modern foreign languages, area studies, and other international fields.

Villanova Center for Liberal Education
The Center serves as a resource and gathering place for all Villanova faculty interested in interdisciplinary teaching and research. To this end, the VCLE sponsors a number of initiatives.
