Great Books Foundation
The Great Books Foundation is an independent, nonprofit educational organization with a mission to help people think and share ideas. Towards this end, the Foundation offers workshops in Shared Inquiry discussion and publishes collections of classic and modern texts for both children and adults. The Great Books Foundation was established in 1947 to promote liberal education for the general public.

Humanistic Texts
A website with a wide selection of humanistic texts from many cultures. The website states, "From the writings of [our] authors, Humanistic Texts shows how people around the world gradually develop an understanding of what it is to be human. Multicultural extracts portray the wit, wisdom, and poetry of individuals as they reflect on ethics, philosophy, knowledge, and human relationships."

Internet Sacred Text Archive
A site with thousands of complete texts from the world’s major religions, ancient classical works, and Native American cultures. The site indicates that it is supported through buying its cd/dvd copies of what it offers on site.

Liberty Fund, Online Library of Liberty
The Liberty Fund website is a useful resource for great books/texts:

A new feature of the website allows anybody (scholars, teachers, or members of the public) to create their own annotated reading lists of our online material and to post them on the OLL website for them and others to use.
