Curriculum and Faculty Development Projects and Grants

The Institute has won three National Endowment for the Humanities grants for curriculum and faculty development projects. In addition, ACTC completed the development of the project, “Trends in the Liberal Arts Core,” a FIPSE/Mellon longitudinal study covering the development of general education and core text programs from 1978 to 2004 in 81 institutions in the United States. Together, these projects have involved faculty and professors from over 100 institutions. The results of those projects are offered on this website in the hope that other institutions may benefit from the innovations by leaders and institutions in these projects. Future projects are currently under development.
