The nominator must be a dean or higher in administrative rank. The nominator need not be over the nominee in either the school or college, but the nominee must have the time and authority to do the following: if the applicant becomes the Scholar in Residence, the nominator will
a) review with the applicant/scholar the rationale and plan submitted by the Scholar in the application process,
b) b) will read a report from the Scholar-in-Residence, submitted by December 31 in the year of the summer-in-residence, on the activities and results of her/his scholarship while in Oxford; this report will indicate to the nominator (and to OSAP/ACTC) any international, liberal arts educational interests or activities which may be enhanced or developed on campus on the basis of the Scholar’s trip to Oxford.,
c) will provide for a faculty meeting by December 31 after the summer-in-resdence where the ACTC/OSAP Scholar-in-Residence will present to colleagues the results of her/his scholarship while in Oxford,
d) will provide sufficient funding, including transportation, registration, and individual membership, for the Scholar in Residence to attend the annual ACTC conference and report on her/his scholarship in a panel session.
